finally moved

Everyone is now in their new home. The ladies are
on a wonderful farm romping through 25 acres of
lushious grass with a treed area and ponds to play
in. They love it. I am finally in my new place
getting the unpacking done and also psyching
myself up for my first day of school.
A new mare arrived yesterday, Sheza Poco Dot.
She's a red dun in foal to a palomino stallion
Bear Fax for early April 2008. It appears I am
going to be a little bit busy in April next year
with exams and foaling.
New pics will be coming-be patient.

1 month til moving day

The new home has been found and we move the end of
August. It is gorgeous and the furthest north I
have since i was a child. WASHAGO!!! It is so
gorgeous up there-close to the water and the
Casino lol. And best of all-only a short drive to
school.
I can't wait to meet other horse owners.
Arriving the end of August will also be a new mare
or 2. I know I said I was cutting numbers down,
and I have, but these lovely ladies were too nice
to pass up.
Stay tuned for more details.

The season is winding down(finally) and all the
mares so far have been announced in foal. First
due in 2008 is Sunset(January), Roma(March), Tonka
(April), Lady(April), Bailey(May), Itchy(May), Jill
(May) and there is still a few stragglers to be
bred in the next 2 weeks. One just arrived on the
farm-a 16.1hh TB mare who performed well in
dressage and is CSH as well. Now that should get
a lovely HUS hopefully with colour. She has 4
white socks and a rather unique blaze.
Soon it will be time to load everyone up and head
off to the East-I have found a place NE of Elmvale
and will be there for the next 2 years while I
attend University classes at Georgian in Orillia.
It appears the people who were buying Levi have
opted out which is great IMO-mean sI get to keep
him. I have been contacting trainers in teh
Elmvale area and he will head for training in the
winter. At this point he will not be standing at
stud in 2008-the girls will instead be bred to
Glade Ima Gigalo-a colt I bred out of Tonka who
will be standing near Sudbury.

update on Tonka's yearling colt

I have been receiving some wonderful updates from
the people who bought Diesel(now Gigger)last
summer. Roch and Brenda have been showing this
gorgeous little guy and last weekend-his 2nd show-
he pulled home reds in yearling longeline, halter
stallions(actually got a trophy for champion!!!)
and a red in yearling in hand trail. What a great
job these two are doing with him. I will try to
get some updated pics on here as soon as I can.
Can't wait to get three of the girls bred to him
next year.

Spring is offically here!!

The weather has been just great. And thankfully
it has brought out lots of people to take
advantage of my massive reduction. Only 1 horse
left for sale and I will have reached my goal.
Guess it helps that they are all priced right.
Levi leaves for AI training Tuesday and will also
be collecting and storing frozen semen so that
next year he can train in earnest without worrying
about breeding. Plus most of the mares will be
visiting Diesel-now nick-named Gigger-for stud
duties in 2008. Quite an impressive selection of
ladies for his first year that's for sure. I've
been told his first show is this month in halter
and then he will be focusing more on lungeline.
Either way he should do well.

Well Lady's little man is now a week old and doing
awesome.
After some intitial confusion and taking him away
from baby stealing mare Tonka Lady has now fully
claimed Gunner and no one is allowed to come near
him now.
Updated pics will definately be coming.
Unfortunately Tonka is not in foal to Beaus
Eternal Son but Levi managed to solve that problem
and she has been vet checked in foal for January
as well.
Sunset leaves tomorrow and that will leave only 4
mares and Levi-who leaves next week for AI
training.

waiting waiting waiting

Only a couple more days to go before we hit on the
first due date. Tonka is ceretainly not holding
true to going 2 weeks early this year, Lady is
more then ready and I doubt she will make it to
her due date.
It was a hard decision to make to reduce the
numbers. I absolutely love the strong working and
halter type breeding these mares posess and was
really looking forward to seeing all those
Whispers running around next spring.
All horses sold come with their registration
papers-you would be amazed at the amount of
trouble I am having obtaining papers on one of
these mares that I paid for in January-always make
sure to have the writing of papers forwarded upon
payment on bills of sale in the future.
Sunset is in foal and ready to either go to her
new home or stay here and foal.
Had news that a good friends mare finally foaled-a
bay filly-also sired by the same as Tonka and
Lady's foal...however 3 weeks over due-my girls
best not be planning the same lol.

spring is making its way...

Such a frigid couple of months of relentless snow-
and finally it is warming, melting and I can't
wait for it to be just all gone.
It's been a month now since Sweeter passed away-
such a tragic loss, I was really looking forward
to getting at least one foal from her.
Birde has new owners, Chris and Scott. She will
be boarding with me until they take possession of
their new farm May 1. They are absolutely in love
with the rest of the gang too and I was sure to
show Tonka's trick to them when they brought in a
bag of carrots.
Speaking of Tonka...a little over a month to go.
I am hoping she is not too early and hits Easter.
It's hard enough she goes early but that is just
too much.
Dot will be returning to the farm for foaling the
end of the month and I will finally get some pics
up on the website.

Winters return

Obviously I have been very spoiled by the warm
winter we have had so far-so the shock of all the
snow coming now has affected the horses and myself.
On Monday 3 horses arrived at the farm for
breeding-I will have to create a seperate page for
mares being bred to Levi soon so it does not
appear I am back up to 15+ horses-although that
would be nice.
In addition to Roma and Sweeter a pretty little
filly stepped off the trailer as well-bloodlines
of Obvious Conclusions and Shutdown Amigo-a
gorgeous smutty red dun. What a size difference
between her and Birde-but then Birde is a fair bit
older-this new little girl-Treat is a very late
foal-September 4th actually.
I will get updated pics ASAP but put up the ones I
do have.
With all of these lovely ladies lining up to visit
Levi I know he will positively excell as a sire.

It has been a very hectic week here at the stables.

Daisy enjoyed a trip to town and had a blast doing
the Santa Clause parade with Justin.
Time to get down to some serious Christmas
shopping.
